In preparation of the 2022 midterm elections, Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) and Florida Secretarial assistant of Land Laurel M. Lee join the National Clan of Secretaries of State (NASS) in the #TrustedInfo2022 education effort to promote state and local ballot officials every bit the trusted sources for election data.
"The biggest threat to our democracy is election misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation (MDM) that undermines voter confidence in the integrity of our elections," states Wesley Wilcox, Marion Canton Supervisor of Elections and Florida Supervisors of Elections President. We are committed to ensuring voters have access to accurate election information during the 2022 election bike and beyond."

Together, their goal is to ensure the integrity of Florida's elections and to support off-white, honest, and accurate elections in the Country of Florida. As elections professionals, they want to highlight their committment to being the official trusted sources of election-related information in Florida. While there is a lot of information near voting and elections on the internet and social media, not all of information technology is credible. Your local Supervisor of Ballot's offices and the Florida Department of State volition remain the credible, verified source for ballot data. Many ballot officials will apply the #TrustedInfo2022 to flag official election information on social media and other sites.

Supervisor of Elections Alan Hays is alerting Lake County voters to unofficial mailings from parties NOT affiliated with the Lake Canton Supervisor of Elections function. In the coming days, two organizations (The Voter Participation Middle and the Center for Voter Data) will have mailed information to voters, that may be disruptive.
